A lot of you thought that my previous post was a wedding post. No, actually (as I said), it was just the Henne ceremony... My cousin's wedding (with all the before and after parties) took 4 days. Back in the day, during my grandparents life and before, weddings could take a week or so and the craziest thing is that people changed outfits many times during the same day!


Anyway, these pictures I'm sharing with you today, were taken during the wedding party! Oh how much I love going to weddings... I love to see everyone looking their best, dressed to kill and just having fun, and of course, get to wear a caftan!


I love caftans and although I didn't wear one for the Henne day I couldn't miss out on this occasion to wear my white caftan, specially (custom) made for the occasion. Here in Morocco, whenever there is a wedding or any other occasion involving caftans or jellabas, people get them custom made in the design they want and with the fabrics that they choose.


As you can see on the pictures, the fabric used to make my caftan was leopard printed (but in white and pearl)! My one and only leopard print piece in my wardrobe actually.

My belt was entirely beaded and the top (front and back) of the caftan was also embroidered in pearls.



I can keep talking on and on about the wedding but this post would be endless so I'm just gonna leave you with the pictures and get ready: there are a LOT!

The bride in the "amaria". She basically sits in a beautiful seat and people lift her up and ride her around the room (she must have a really great view on the guests...)!

"Bastila", a traditionnal moroccan dish (I can't describe this one though, come try it!). After this there was another meal and then dessert, not to mention all the little "apetizers" we had before dinner... I couldn't eat a bite!
